Okay yes the economy sucks and money is tight but I have finally been able to purchase tickets for my first Las Vagas Stat Trek Convention. Of course it took selling a couple of Master Replicas items for but how many times can a guy whos working a part time job attend such a grandeous occassion. Aug 5th our flight leaves Peoria and Arrives in one of my favorite cities in the country, Las Vegas!

As a Captain's Package ticket holder I am looking forward to pre-registration the night before. Bad knees and and 30,000 attendees never go hand in hand. I hear I can except 100+ degrees for my favorite fun city. Thats okay because I plan on reporting every night on the days events. One thing is for sure I have no idea what to do! Finding information on what a person should do and don't do is difficult to find on the net.

Already I am excited to see the varity of stars booked for the event, George Takei, Tim Russ and Robert Picardo being a few of my favorites. I've seen Bill and Leonard many times and as always put on a interesting show. George is still one of the few stars I have found that actually answers his emails and he brings alot of vibrance to each event. Hats of George thanks for caring about the fans.

 Anyone wishing to nail down tickets for the Vegas convention should go to Creation Entertainment and booked while they are still available. Hope to see you all there!

I recently have had a few more than dumb questions I needed answered about the Star Trek convention in Las Vegas in which I sent to customer service. I was VERY impressed with the swift and polite responses received from Sharon. Creation is certainly a top notch organization which I know is extremely busy and still find the time to personally respond to my stupid questions. Hats Off to Creation....

Product Review

STAR TREK IIPHASERByPlaymates 

As with every Star Trek movie before there seems to be a flood of product merchandising that hits the market sometimes before the movies debut.

As with the newest Star Trek Movie this too is the case. And oddly enough Playmates once again is carrying the product forward.

Aside from a interesting design, the phaser is pretty much a toy. Certainly not for the serious collector. I would certainly look forward to Master Replicas releasing the real deal.

Art Asylum I believe would have given us a little more in way of a collectible item. As I look at the Playmates Phaser I think that this is a item that was rushed to the market. Perhaps they should have considered making a more expensive version for us bigger kids.
